Akuntabel.id, WONOGIRI – Hendak berangkat sekolah, seorang pelajar di Kecamatan Selogiri, Kabupaten Wonogiri, tewas dalam sebuah kecelakaan yang terjadi pada Selasa (24/5/2022) sekitar pukul 06.30 WIB. Sepeda motor yang dikendarai tertabrak sepeda motor lain saat hendak menyeberangi jalan.
Kasat Lantas Polres Wonogiri AKP Marwanto, mengatakan, kecelakaan tersebut terjadi di Jalan Raya Selogiri-Bulu (Sukoharjo), tepatnya di Dusun Tenongan RT 001/RW 009 Desa Jendi, Selogiri. Saat itu, korban berinisial SAN (14), warga Desa Keloran, Selogiri, mengendarai sepeda motor Honda Beat dengan nomor polisi AD 2252 AMG.
“Pada saat itu korban sedang berangkat sekolah mengendarai sepeda motor. Kemudian, dia berusaha menyeberangi jalan raya yang cukup ramai,” katanya.
Nahas, pada saat bersamaan melaju sebuah sepeda motor jenis Yamaha Byson yang dikendarai oleh ES (37), warga Desa Punduhsari, Kecamatan Manyaran, Wonogiri. Karena jarak yang terlalu dekat, ES tidak bisa menghindar sehingga menabrak remaja tersebut. Akibatnya, SAN menderita luka cukup parah di bagian kepala.
Korban lantas dilarikan ke RSUD Wonogiri. Sayangnya, luka di kepala yang diderita terlalu parah sehingga tidak bisa tertolong.
“Saat itu tidak memakai helm. Kami imbau agar masyarakat selalu memakai helm saat berkendara,” tandas Marwanto.
