Akuntabel.id, SUKOHARJO – Kecamatan Baki ternyata menyimpan sejumlah sejarah panjang sejak era kolonial Belanda. Untuk mengulas sejarah tersebut, Pegiat Sejarah dan masyarakat Baki menggelar pameran foto dan arsip di Pendapa Kantor Kecamatan Baki, Sukoharjo, Jumat (27/10/2023).
Dari pantauan dilokasi, sejumlah foto, peta wilayah, kliping berita koran berbahasa Belanda, hingga miniatur kendaraan turut terpajang pada ruangan tersebut. bahkan selongsong peluru bekas peninggalan penjajahan Kolonial Belanda serta benda-benda yang memiliki nilai historis juga turut dipajang.
Tak hanya arsip kolonial, beberapa potret warga pada masa ke masa juga turut ditampilkan, mulai dari gaya berpakaian dan lainnya. Bahkan, cerita menarik sejumlah warga Baki. Di antaranya sejumlah pemuda-pemudi yang menjadi pekerja migran di Suriname, dan salah seorang warga yang melakukan poliandri dengan memiliki 11 suami.
Pameran tersebut turut mengundang perhatian anak-anak dari Taman Kanak-Kanak desa setempat. Mereka tampak menikmati setiap cerita yang disampaikan oleh Pegiat Sejarah dari komunitas Mbakombaki, Surya Harjono. Pameran yang sudah berlangsung sejak 2020 itu digelar selama tiga hari sejak Jumat-Minggu (27-29/10/2023).
“Sejumlah barang yang dipajang dalam pameran tersebut merupakan koleksi pribadi warga hingga kajian melalui sejumlah arsip digital,” ucap Suryo.
Surya mengatakan pameran tersebut menggambarkan perjalanan sejarah wilayah Baki pada 1827-1997. Dimana sejarah wilayah Kecamatan Baki tak terlepas dari cerita rakyat tentang Bah Baki atau Kiai Baki pada zaman PB VII. Majalah Kejawen edisi 20 Maret 1975 bahkan menyebut jika Baki sudah ada sebelum Keraton Kartasura berdiri.
“Banyak warga Baki yang juga berasal dari keturunan Tionghoa, cikal bakal Baki sendiri diusung oleh Bah Baki yang juga seorang keturunan China,” katanya.
Bahkan sejak zaman dahulu, wilayah Kecamatan Baki juga telah dikelilingi pabrik gula dan tembakau yang dikelola pemerintah kolonial Belanda. Sedikitnya ada empat pabrik besar yang memberikan pemasukan besar bagi Belanda. Keempatnya berada di Bentakan, Gawok, Baki Pandeyan, dan Temulus.
“Perjalanan sejarah Baki sudah dimulai saat perang gerilya Pangeran Diponegoro pada 1827. Sejak dulu Baki dikenal dengan komoditas tembakau, nila (pewarna kain) dan juga tebu,” beber Surya.
Bahkan sejarah perfilman Indonesia turut mewarnai Kecamatan Baki, saat aktris senior Desy Ratnasari membintangi sinetron Bukan Perempuan Biasa besutan Arifin C Noer dan Jajang C Noer.
“Sinetron itu mengambil lokasi syuting di rumah warga di belakang kantor Kecamatan Baki, mulai 16 Oktober-11 Desember 1996. Sampai sekarang rumah yang dipakai syuting itu bahkan masih ada,” tandasnya.
