Libur Lebaran, Volume Sampah di Sukoharjo Meningkat

Akuntabel.id, SUKOHARJO – Selama libur Lebaran ini, volume sampah di tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA) Mojorejo, Bendosari, Sukoharjo, meningkat. Penambahannya mencapai hingga 30 persen dari hari biasanya.

Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Sukoharjo, Agus Suprapto, mengatakan, volume sampah di Sukoharjo naik hingga 30 ton perhari dibanding hari biasanya. Bahkan volume sampah sudah mengalami kenaikan sejak awal Ramadan

“Kenaikan prediksi sekitar 20-30 persen,” katanya, Jum’at (6/5/2022).

Agus menyebut, tingginya volume sampah merupakan persoalan yang kerap terjadi saat libur Lebaran. Banyak sampah plastik, kaleng maupun stereofom yang dibuang masyarakat saat Lebaran.

“Kalau tahun-tahun yang sudah naik kisaran 30 persen saat lebaran. Untuk rata-rata harian bulan April kemarin sudah 220 ton perhari yang masuk ke TPA,” ujarnya.

Menurut Agus, rata-rata harian sampah yang masuk ke TPA Mojorejo, Bendosari, sudah mengalami kenaikan dibanding tahun lalu. Pada 2021 lalu, rata-rata sampah harian yang masuk ke TPA 170 ton perhari, namun pada 2022 ini rata-ratanya 220 ton perhari.

Namun terkadang, tonase sampah dipengaruhi dengan musim hujan. Sebab hal tersebut membuat kadar air yang ikut ke sampah juga relatif tinggi. Sedangkan saat musim kemarau sampah relatif kering sehingga tonasenya kecil.
