Akuntabel.id, SOLO – Hewan tikus kerap kali dianggap hama lantaran keberadaannya sangat mengganggu manusia. Selain itu juga dimusuhi para petani karena menjadi biangnya perusak tanaman. Ditambah, tikus juga bisa menyebarkan penyakit mematikan seperti Leptospirosis, yang merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh urin tikus.
Namun, tikus juga bisa menghasilkan pundi-pundi rupiah bila dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Seperti yang dilakukan di tempat budidaya tikus putih Famfarm di Kelurahan Purwosari, Kecamatan Laweyan, Kota Solo.
Menurut salah satu peternak tikus putih FamFarm, Yoga Adi Pamungkas (29), awalnya dia menekuni bisnis ini karena iseng.
“Kita sudah menjalankan bisnis ini selama tiga tahun,” katanya, Rabu (6/4/2022).
Bisnis budidaya tikus ini hanya diawali dari obrolan tongkrongan. Saat itu, Yoga dan temannya yang merupakan pecinta hewan reptil tengah membicarakan usaha yang bisa dikerjakan dengan modal kecil.
“Saya dulu tukang parkir. Saat ngobrol dengan teman saya, awalnya ada budidaya cacing, tapi kita kendala tempat. Sampai akhirnya, tikus pakan reptil teman saya beranak dan bisa di jual di Pasar Depok. Kita pelajari dan kemudian kita seriusi,” ucapnya.
Yoga menjalankan bisnis budidaya tikus putih ini bersama tiga orang temannya. Awalnya, mereka patungan Rp700 ribu per orang untuk modal bisnis.
“Kita budidaya tiga jenis tikus, yakni ASF (Tikus Afrika), RAT (Tikus Putih), dan Mencit (Mus Musculus),” ujarnya.
Penjualannya sendiri, satu ekor tikus dihargai tiga kali pakan. Untuk anakan tikus harganya mulai Rp2.500 per ekor, dan harga akan naik jika ukuran dan beratnya bertambah. Sementara untuk ukuran medium dan dewasa, harga mulai dari Rp4.500-15.000 per ekor.
“Untuk satu bulan, laba bersih kita bisa mencapai Rp8 juta,” tandasnya.
